Prabha is a writer, editor, and consultant in the Bay Area, who served as the Head Writer and Managing Editor for Siri, Apple’s A.I. assistant. In this role, she led the global team responsible for defining Siri the character and its personality, as well as the language used for inclusive and accessible experiences.
Since leaving Apple, Prabha has authored and published fiction, reported on the latest A.I. trends for Stanford’s Human-Centered A.I. Institute, and lampooned those same trends in satire for The New Yorker. She serves on the editorial staff of Narrative Magazine, and is frequently asked to speak on the subject of A.I., equity, and the creative class, including as a guest lecturer at Stanford’s d.school.
As a supporter of organizations advancing efforts in health care and the arts, Prabha and her family have endowed the Kannan and Kendale Convergence Scholars Program Fund in support of postdoctoral work at MIT’s Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. She also serves on the board of the Council for the Arts at MIT.
Prabha is a graduate of MIT’s Sloan School of Management and holds an SB in Management Science.
