Music for Autism Names Suzy Perelman 2011 Spotlight Artist

by Jarrett Fastman

Music for Autism is thrilled to name violinist Suzy Perelman as its Spotlight Artist for 2011.The Spotlight Artist program was created in 2009 with the intention of recognizing those artists who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to M4A by enhancing its program and aiding in its expansion.  Throughout her accomplished career as a violinist, Suzy Perelman has been involved in charitable volunteer work, and her experience in bringing uplifting musical performances to populations isolated or in need makes her a great asset to M4A.  Her performance in September 2010 was a standout event that captivated the entire audience. Although Ms Perelman’s involvement with M4A is relatively recent, she is invested in its mission and has actively offered ideas to further our organization’s success.  M4A looks forward to working more closely with Ms Perelman, and anticipates that she will be of great help in expanding and strengthening our program.

“I am so thrilled, honored and grateful to be named the Spotlight Artist of 2011,” said Ms. Perelman.  “I look forward to working with you all in continuing to achieve the extraordinary mission of Music for Autism.”
