Jan Wintrol Named 2013 Washingtonian of the Year

Jan Wintrol, Director of The Ivymount School and Programs and Music for Autism Board Member, was named 2013 Washingtonian of the Year.  This award is given by the Washingtonian Magazine and recognizes members of the community who work to make a meaningful difference and inspire awe in all around them. The article, which is in the January issue, praises Jan for her work and leadership at the Ivymount School.

US Founder of Music for Autism, Dr. Robert Accordino, said of the announcement, “We are tremendously proud of our Music for Autism Board Member, Jan Wintrol, on this richly deserved honor! For years, we have seen first hand all her wonderful work at our partner, the Ivymount School which has flourished under Jan’s leadership.”
