Ms. Reich began her piano studies at age 5 at The Hoff Barthelson Music School in New York, and continued through her teens with Baruch Arnon of the Juilliard School of Music. With increasing dedication to her music, she enrolled in the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and studied under Menahem Pressler (The Beaux Arts Trio) and Dr. Joseph Rezits, eventually being awarded a degree in piano performance.
Ms. Reich has performed as part of duets, duos, trios, orchestras and as a soloist throughout the East coast and the Midwest. In her typical performances, she includes, along with more familiar works, the music of lesser known composers from all around the globe, especially South America and Israel. Recently Ms. Reich performed 1 piano 4 hand compositions with Marvin Friedman, as the Keynotes Duet. They won First Place in the Bradshaw and Buono Piano Competition as duettists and performed in Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Throughout her performance career, Ms Reich has been a dedicated and passionate teacher of piano. “I share my joy of creating music, and understanding music, through my teaching.” Her students currently range in age from 4 to 75 years old! The emphasis is on piano repertoire, mostly classical, along with theory, ear training and the mastery of composition. Throughout the year, students have opportunities to share their music as well as boost their self-confidence. More serious students receive direction and help in preparing for competitions. Many of her students have gone on to careers in music.
