Artists

Currently living in New York City, trumpeter Christopher Scanlon is a member of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. Additionally he has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Springfield Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Symphony in C and as principal with the Boston Lyric Opera, Singapore Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Vermont Symphony, New World Symphony, Opera North and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas and was an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. He has performed as a soloist with the Garden State Philharmonic and Spectrum Symphony of New York and recorded new music with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project and the Callithumpian Consort. As a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center he received the Roger Voisin Award and has also performed at Spoleto USA, Banff and at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. Scanlon was a student of Mark Gould at the Manhattan School of Music, Marie Speziale at Rice University, and Thomas Rolfs at Boston University.
