Robin McIntosh is the Co-founder and CEO of Avela Health, a company dedicated to making accessible, science-backed, and family-centered solutions for neurodivergent families, with a focus on autism support. Drawing on her extensive background in design, business, and digital health, Robin is committed to addressing critical gaps in autism services and improving the quality of life for neurodivergent individuals and their families.
Before founding Avela Health in 2024, Robin co-founded Workit Health in 2015 and served as CEO until 2023. Recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year, she led Workit Health to become a leader in digital addiction care. Under her leadership, Workit pioneered a telehealth model supported by NIH research grants and partnerships with CVS Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield Venture Partners, and the National Science Foundation. By integrating science-backed methodologies with advanced digital technology, Workit set new standards for effectiveness and accessibility in behavioral health. Robin now serves as Chairperson of the Board, guiding Workit Health’s strategic vision and supporting its mission to provide lifesaving care to thousands.
Robin’s career began with impactful roles at WIRED magazine and IDEO, and she later co-founded SIREN, an award-winning product design and development firm specializing in digital health and financial technology. Her innovative work at SIREN for major clients solidified her reputation as a leader in human-centered design.
