Virtual Concert with Pianist Candace Chien and Soprano Laura Kay

May 07, 2022
YouTube Livestream

We welcome all individuals with autism and their families across the nation to attend our interactive concerts from their homes.
11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern

Lauded for her “particularly lovely” playing, collaborative pianist (and Music for Autism Spotlight Artist 2022!), Candace Marie Chien is a graduate of The Juilliard School and performs regularly with chamber groups Alighieri Duo and Trio Portinari. Her chamber music performances have taken her all over the east coast of the US, Canada, and Sweden, and has performed with members of the New York Philharmonic and Sydney Symphony.

Laura Kay, hailed for her “sparkling, dazzling soprano,” was most recently seen as Pamina in Opera Pantomime’s Die Zauberflöte, in the Heights Opera Initiative Project’s inaugural season as Violetta in La Traviata and Micaëla in Carmen. A strong advocate for new American music, Laura has a strong following as a recitalist featuring new and little-known works by American composers, both as a soloist and as a founding member of the CIRCE Trio.
