Holly Sedillos is one of the most versatile sopranos in Los Angeles. She is equally comfortable in the studio or on stage, singing various classical styles, musical theater, world music, children and monster voices, or whatever else is thrown her way. Classical highlights include being a soloist in John Adams’s Grand Pianola Music with the LA Phil, playing Consuelo in Adams’s I Was Looking at the Ceiling and then I Saw the Sky with Long Beach Opera, and Handel’s Messiah solos with the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Other stage highlights include soloing in Carnegie Hall with Christopher Tin in a concert of his album Calling All Dawns, playing Jasmine in Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular! at Disney’s CA Adventure, various featured roles in The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl, the Hans Zimmer tour, the title role in Cindy Shapiro’s Anaïs: A Dance Opera at theater festivals in Avignon, France, and Casablanca, Morocco, and touring Californian and Australian prisons with composer Eric Genuis.

Holly has sung on roughly 50 films, TV programs and video games. Solo highlights include the Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate score by Austin Wintory, The Darkest Minds score by Benjamin Wallfisch, two upcoming Mychael and Jeff Danna scores for The Addams Family and Pixar’s Onward, and this fall’s Lucy in the Sky, scored by Jeff Russo.  Holly’s choral highlight is the once-in-a-lifetime chance to sing for John Williams on Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi.

You can hear Holly solo with the Los Angeles Master Chorale in January in Jeff Beal’s new score to Sunrise, or in Krakow, Poland with John Powell in May, if that’s easier. Holly grew up in Santa Monica, playing French horn, singing, and acting in as many  SAMOHI ensembles and shows as possible. She holds a BA in music from Dartmouth College.
