John O’Neil

John O’Neil has been an editor and writer at The New York Times since 1989. He currently is overseeing the development of Topic pages, an online encyclopedia of Times and other content. In 2004 he wrote an essay about his son’s autism as part of a series that was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. He is also the president of SingSOS!/Songs of the Spectrum, a nonprofit group that is enlisting well-known artists to perform songs about autism to raise awareness about the disorder.
